Frilly Dresses

Girly, frilly dresses like this are a guilty pleasure of mine, especially when it comes to the summer months, you can accessorize this sort of garment to any sort of way that you like, so it appeals to all strokes of fashion gurus whether you are a girly girl or you like to mix it up a bit with frills and converse, then this sort of dress is for you.

I find that I go for clothes that suit any kind of body shape, a given yes, that someone who has a quite large boobage area wouldn't be able to wear a dress like this without completely spilling out of it but for all other girls this dress would look right on most shapes and sizes.

This type of dress would also be perfect for a date night - wearing it with fancy shoes and a cute clutch but it would also work great for a festival - wearing it with your hunters and flower crowns, it's a perfect little dress for all occasions really.

70's Denim Stylin'

How nice is this dress!? This was something that was definitely inspired by the 70's mini dress craze, it has a  sort of fit of a shift dress, which I find to be flattering on most shapes (which is what we want girls don't we!?). The zip detail adds a bit of 'edgeyness' and gives the dress that quirky style.

I find that silver zips, buttons etc. and denim go really well together, I find that any bit of clothing that has this combination of colours or textures I am drawn to no matter what!

This dress has proved to me that it is perfect, something that is easy to throw on but looks so chic, I mean that's all we want really isn't it ladies? Something comfortable, effortless and cute and it certainly ticks all those boxes.

It is a piece that can be worn by itself in the summer/spring but it can also be versatile when coming towards the colder months by just adding a black roll neck jumper underneath with a pair of tights. - (I know we don't want to think of them yet but unfortunately they will come around and it's always best to be prepared right...?)

The combination of the collar, zip, the pockets and the dark denim makes this dress a charming choice for your wardrobe!

Lace Up Details / More 70's Vibes

White outfits are such a hit nowadays, of course I still love my all black outfits - you can't go wrong with them really can you? but an all white outfit really does bring a whole other game to the table, especially in summer and especially with a fresh tan. *winks*

This top is like a combination of all my favourite things, the flowy and shirty material, the flared sleeves, the colour and the lace up detail at the front. - this makes it perfect for a festival!

I've paired it with these three quarter length trousers because I think this really completes the outfit - making it look that little bit more hippyfi'd! You can pair this top with pretty much anything though, high-waisted shorts, jeans, trousers or a skirt! It'll definitely look fab with everything and anything.

I've gone back to my trusty old faux Birkenstocks - they literally go with everything, right?!

I hope all of you guys that are reading this are going off somewhere exotic for your hols or are just enjoying the lovely hit and miss weather here in the UK.

What summer trends have you been loving recently? I'd love to know!

MAC Lipstick Collection

I always love these kinds of posts, having a little nose at someone's lipstick collection or seeing what MAC lipsticks they love. I think it's because there are so many lipsticks to choose from and it's always nice to see how people of all different styles and skin tones wear their lipsticks.

MAC is a make up brand that just goes from strength to strength, it is so versatile and they really show it with the standard of amazing and current collections that they bring out. They keep it exciting and they certainly keep their religious make up fans coming back for more.

Their lipsticks are something that most first time buyers of MAC will go for because of the huge range of colours and the excellent pay off. - They are well worth the money in my eyes, their lasting power is immensely good and even though most of these ones are matte lipsticks they don't dry out the lips at all.

So today I bring to you, my collection, that I have slowly and surely built up over a year or so.

Perfect Contour With KIKO Concealer

I just wanted to do a quick post today really to tell you about this KIKO product that I have been LOVING recently. The Kardashians are a big part of the reason that products like this have become more demanding, the contouring technique has become a lot more popular and a way that a lot more women achieve their desired looks without going under the knife or spending a bomb. It's all about bringing brightness to the parts of your face that you want highlighted and darkness to create more of a shape to the face.

The best way to get this kind of look, is to use concealer or powders that are lighter or darker than your natural skin tone, here I have got the KIKO concealer in a darker shade to contour the areas of my face that I want to be darker. This product is perfect for drawing lines down the nose and around the jaw/cheek bones to create more definition to your face, the tip is the perfect size to get into all the nooks and crannies on your face. I went for colour no. 7 (Cognac) however there are quite a few colours to choose from, so you can get the one to best suit your skin tone.

To sum up, this product is just great, it's long-lasting, easy to use, blends really well and the colour is fabulous. The best thing about this product is that it has the pay-off of a high-end one but for a really reasonable price. I really am becoming a number one fan of KIKO. For £5.50 you can't really go wrong...

I really recommend you give this product a try, what products do you recommend that have excellent pay of but are relatively cheap?

White Dresses & Long Walks

Hello everyone, I hope you're all enjoying the lovely weather and have had a lovely weekend so far... White summer dresses are a thing that never go out of fashion and they are so perfect for summer and spring, they also appeal to a wide range of women who like to mix up their style a bit. A white dress can be made rather grungey or it can be made rather girly, it really depends on how you accessorize it and what your personal style is. There are so many put out on the market when the summer months arrive, I've seen a fair few that are lovely, this one is relatively cheap and cheerful and from one of my all time favourite stores.. Zara.

I've paired it with a faux leather gilet and my trusty faux Birkenstocks from H&M, I honestly haven't stopped wearing these, they're so comfortable and easy to wear. I wouldn't recommend wearing them whilst trekking up and down hills though, I made this mistake when I went on a walk, I was sliding all over the place - not chic.

Bruce "Caitlyn" Jenner

Now, I tell you when the rumours of this first surfaced last year, I honestly thought it was all a load of rubbish. "Bruce Jenner turning into a woman?! Nooooo". I really thought "Wow, the paparazzi and the media are really making up some sh*t about this poor man."

WELL, it really does go to show that anything can happen, you'd never have thought someone like Bruce Jenner a decathlon gold-medallist would later on in life be referred to as a "she". It goes to show that in some cases you really don't know what people are hiding in their closets and you never know what pain someone is going through.

I would like to firstly say, that Caitlyn, actually looks rather amazing, I'll be honest and say that I wasn't expecting her to look so classy and quite so feminine. The pictures of her are lovely and she should be pleased with her cover of Vanity Fair. I think she has been very brave to do what she has done and come out to the world like she has.

There are two ends to this rather extraordinary and interesting tale, one end being that Caitlyn has opened the minds of many people around the world, using her platform as a way to bring light to the growing struggle for many transgender people and show that there is more to someone than just their sexuality/gender and how they portray themselves on the outside. On the other end of the scale there are the questions that many of people are asking. If this was something you have wanted for a very long time and knew your whole life that it was something you wanted to do, why get married 3 times? Why have children? Why put your family through this traumatic experience? Is she doing this for attention, to gain worldwide fame? (even more famous than she already is)

I know it's hard for all of us looking in from the outside to be able to say what is going on in Caitlyn's head and I for one have no objection to someone being free and being themselves but you can see it from a perspective that putting your family and friends through such an ordeal, can be seen to be somewhat selfish. I do believe that as a father to 10 children, she has a huge responsibility and has a lot at stake. Knowing that going through this change could have potentially resulted in family members or friends not speaking to her makes this situation very tough.

I do believe that Caitlyn Jenner has done a lot of good and moved a lot of people with her story but there has obviously been a lot of heartache and pain a long the way.

What do you think about Caitlyn Jenner? Comment below, I'd love to hear what you think...
