Holey T-Shirt Lusting

A quick and simple post from me today...
A holey t-shirt is such a statement piece, wearing it plain with a pair of jeans or a skirt is the best way to wear this sort of garment! You don't want to over do it too much, stick on some Chelsea boots or pumps and a leather jacket and your good to go, this will create that ultimate 'off duty chick' vibe. Very Kate Moss inspired.

Fishnets & Levis

There was a bit of sun on the weekend and I had to put on a skirt, any excuse! ha. Fishnet tights are such a winner to make your outfit look just that little bit more edgy. <- hate that word but I have no other way to describe what I mean lol!

For me, a heavy knit jumper with any bit of denim looks so good! Whether it's a pair of jeans or a jacket, the two contrasts of material together have such a timeless look and no matter what sort of fashion you're into, you're bound to like this combo. If you're slightly more girly you can go for just plain sheer black tights which complete the look just as much as the fishnets. Mixing it up a little bit never hurt anyone though. ;)

One tip of mine and many other people I'm sure is to see what deals you can get yourself on eBay when it comes to buying denim. Two of my most worn denim bits are from eBay and cost me virtually nothing! For instance, this skirt was 99p (a total bargain).

Liz Earle Obsession.

For the last 2 years - 18 months or so I have been using Liz Earle, a beauty brand that never fails to disappoint in any way. I'll get straight to it, if you're not using this stuff already, then I 1000% recommend you do. I've always been a big sufferer when it comes to anything to do with my skin, so for you girls out there that have the same problem, getting spots when you REALLY don't need them and having parts of your face that dry out massively, then Liz Earle (the goddess that she is) comes in super handy!

Their naturally active ingredients helps to balance out the oils that are on your skin. These products really work for me, someone who has combination skin.. (mostly oily but dry in places).

The main thing though is obviously getting products that keep your skin under control and keep those unwanted skin disasters at bay, which these products are wonderful at. Liz Earle do 3 kinds of moisturiser, one for oily skin, one for dry skin and one for combination skin. I have the one that is designed for oily skin but whatever type of skin you have then that is the best one to use (obvz). This is the thin bottle that is in the picture. This works pretty much how you would want a moisturiser  to work, keeps the skin hydrated and it's thin substance keeps away any risks of clogging up your pores. A wonderful product however if you don't suffer as badly with break outs and your skin is more dry then opting for one of the other two products is for the best.

The yellow bottle contains the Liz Earle Eye Bright, this is designed to refresh  and sooth tired and puffy eyes, it also removes light eye make-up. This product is to be squeezed onto two cotton buds and then placed over your eyes for between 5-10 minutes. You can use this at night, as part of your night time routine or when you're in the bath if you want to double relax - I'd recommend this! ha

The toner, (the last bottle) is also another amazing product of theirs. It is to be used in the morning and night routine of cleanse, tone and moisturise. This product gives that feeling of proper cleanliness, especially using it just after the cleanse and polish (previously blogged about this product). The scrumptious feeling of juvenile skin is something that this regime gives you!

Contouring Kit For Beginners; Smashbox

I bought this product back in October when I was in NY, I had been after a contour kit for a while and I discovered this one in Sephora! Lets face it, everyone is after that sculpted look these days thanks to the almighty power of Kim Kardashian and her family. This is a powder contour which isn't something that everyone loves I know, but I feel if you are starting off your make-up collection and you want something straight forward and simple to use then you are definitely onto a winner here! It also comes with a little picture, which you can see on the mirror showing you what parts of your face you should contour to gain the desired results.

The brush that comes with it is surprisingly useful when you are trying to create that defined bronze line down your cheek bone. I use both the dark colours quite regularly when I am contouring my face and use the highlighting shade as a setting powder for any concealer or liquid foundation that I might use. I think all 3 shades are perfect and very easy to work with whatever your skin tone.

The pigment of the two darker shades are excellent and they really glide on to your skin with ease, the only downfall I think with this product is the highlighting shade isn't quite light enough so it doesn't show up great on my skin and because of it being a powder, it doesn't have an opaque effect which liquid concealer and highlighters do. Nevertheless like I mentioned earlier, it is perfect for setting any concealer or foundation! Priced at £35, it is quite expensive but in my eyes very worth it!

Black & Grey

This is an outfit that can be worn pretty much from now all the way till summer! It's so easy to throw on when you're in a rush or you want to wear something comfy! Layering your clothes is key for super casj look like this one :)

I love baggy jumpers, this one is just right... Cos I'm quite short sometimes they can really swamp me and make me look a lot bigger than I actually am, I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about!! The maxi dress I am wearing underneath this jumper is just a plain one but I have a leopard print one which I wear in a style very similar to this one! Going for flat shoes or boots is probably the safest option with an outfit like this due to it being such a casual look, these shoes are my all time fav!!

This outfit is a perfect example of how you can utilize your wardrobe, things that you would normally wear in summer can be chopped and changed about for a completely different and sophisticated look!

Wrap It Up

Hello everyone, this look is one of my personal faves! I absolutely love this top, it is so flattering on my shape, I've had a lot of wear out of it! I remember when it first caught my eye on the ASOS website about a 10 months ago (unfortunately when I was skint, so couldn't buy it!) THEN whenever I went to buy it, it was out of stock! *rolls eyes* usual story of my life! So when I got my hands on it in about September time, I was soooo happy! You can dress it up or down, either way it looks lovely. Today I have gone for a more casual look pairing it with ripped jeans and some cleated sole shoes but I have worn it on a night out before, with a pencil skirt and culottes. Either way it looks fab, can be worn by any shape of woman!! And it is in the sale at the moment! Double fab!!

Amsterdam

So, I finally made it to the city I have been wanting to go for a very long long time! I really wasn't let down, it was everything I kind of expected to be and more. Very cool place! I had such a laugh!! Ill admit it felt very surreal at times, for instance seeing the red light district was definitely an experience I won't forget in a hurry! (Kinda scarred us all a little bit when we came across the blue lights lol). It is just such a culture shock, going from a well-reserved, politically correct country like Britain and then seeing all these different things. I have the kind of believe it when I see it attitude and now I understand what the fuss is about! ha

Anne Franks museum is definitely something I would recommend, I had been told by a few people that it wasn't anything special but I felt I had to make my mind up for myself and I'm glad I did, I really enjoyed it! If you are like me and are interested in all things World War 2 related then I suggest it is something that you definitely look into doing! I'd recommend going in the morning or later on in the evening, saves you queuing at peak times! You have to be a tourist and do these sorts of things when you go to different countries because when you come home you'll get questions like "what did you do then? what did you see?".. let's face it you don't want to say you saw nothing!

 P.S it is sooooo cold!!
